I've always spoken the words, I love you, --- often and sincerely, though I say them so much I'm sure some might think I'm a little nuts. But when I was young, I thought that I wanted those words to be the ones often heard from me... and they have been. Enjoyed your write. God bless you with love!

Love this! I grew up in a home where we didn’t say I love you…but, in my 30s, I think, I started telling my parents that I loved them every time I hung up the phone from out conversation. Mama was a little taken aback but settled easily into letting me know she loved me too. Daddy was a bit harder but, as he aged he definitely softened. Every time I talk to my kids or grandkids I tell them I love them. 🥰. I never want them to guess.
Love this!❤️ I, too, am working on a journey this November. Don’t laugh but I am in the process of cleaning my entire house, top to bottom. I am feeling so stressed and suffocated. I have had several surgeries since retiring from teaching. The biggest hurdle? Hip replacement. Everything got so behind. In order for me to continue my writing on Substack, I have to get my house in order so that I can breathe and create.😊🧹🧺
Totally get that — it’s incredible how much our space affects our energy. You’ve been through a lot, and cleaning up sounds like the perfect way to reset and find some peace again. Hope it starts feeling lighter soon. And please remember, it’s a process — be gentle with yourself!
