One time when I was feeling guilty about putting off some "must do's and wants," a wise person (all right, it was my therapist) told me to go "all in" on procrastinating when it happens. Let go of the guilt and really embrace it. The list will be there and I'll be in a better mindset to tackle it. I've reminded myself of this wisdom many times and continue to embrace it.
Funny, I just turned 70 and still struggle with accepting the fact that the “To Do” list doesn’t have an end or finish line. It simply changes and often repeats. I can now remind myself that embracing procrastination and letting go of guilt is like putting a period on that endless list. Then I need to give myself a pat on the back for what HAS been accomplished and, finally, take whatever time is needed to relax and refuel. Thanks for sharing!
Silver is the new blonde!
The hardest lesson to learn is to live in the current tense. The trick is to appreciate the moment. Good lesson and good reminder.
Thanks for your wise insights.
I really like that. And it might be something I need to hear. Thank you for taking the time 😊

That's good advice, thank you for sharing!

Yes- it feels so good to say “yes, I’m procrastinating; it’s absolutely fine and the right thing to do right now.”
