Asking for help is one of the hardest tasks for elderly men in particular, because they're used to the "We can do it" fantasy which is no longer applicable in our later years. I'm learning to Ask for Help with the big things, because they are scary now. But, the smaller ones, well the older part of me still hopes "I could do them" even if they take a little more effort. And I can, for now at least! However, the main guiding criteria is always at work now: "Is this a Risk for Me now?" And the answers, so far, seems to be keeping me Honest and Safe!.
